The Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) is proud to acknowledge the generous support of the City of Toronto through the Toronto Highlights Event Investment Program for the 2026 Ontario Championships, taking place at the Enercare Center at Exhibition Place.
This investment will support the delivery of a better championship experience for athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers and spectators from across the province, while maximizing meaningful social and economic benefits for the Toronto community.
Hosted in Toronto, the 2026 Ontario Championship will welcome 1,333 teams from across Ontario and is expected to attract more than 45,000 participants and visitors over nine days of competition from April 16-25, 2026. The event will generate more than 15,000 hotel rooms and the OVA will employ more than 425 local staff to support event delivery, and contribute directly to the city’s economy.
With the City’s support, the Championships will feature increased event production, expanded community engagement initiatives, and strengthened commitment to accessibility and inclusion. This includes “Try It” volleyball sessions for local residents and the introduction of the first Ontario Sitting Volleyball Championships, creating new opportunities to participate and connect with the sport.
Funding through TSEIP will support key event expenses such as venue and facility rentals, event production, accessibility services, volunteer training, audience research, and targeted marketing and promotions. This investment allows the OVA to host high-quality championships while supporting long-term growth in sports participation and tourism in Toronto.
The top priority for the 2026 Ontario Championship is to leave a lasting legacy in the community. Through collaboration with the City of Toronto and local partners, OVA will implement a community engagement plan designed to reach diverse audiences, create new volunteer opportunities, support youth pathways in sport, and strengthen ties between volleyball and neighborhoods across the city.
The Ontario Volleyball Association extends its sincere thanks to the City of Toronto for its continued commitment to hosting major sporting events that drive economic impact, foster community pride and encourage active living. We look forward to showcasing Toronto—both on and off the court—during the 2026 Ontario Championship.
PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
