Team Ontario Athlete Development Fundraising Clinic Success

This past week, Team Ontario’s Athlete Development Program successfully hosted a series of fundraising clinics at various locations across Ontario. Supported by volunteer coaches and enthusiastic athletes, the clinic provided a high-quality training experience while raising more than $6,500 to support Team Ontario’s Athlete Development Fund and ongoing programs.

The week kicked off on Monday at The Athlete Institute, where all three fields were filled with energy and engagement. Coaches create a positive, high-performance environment, encouraging athletes through dynamic and productive sessions. One athlete shared: “My time at the clinic was very informative, as I gained new skills and techniques, developed my ability to take quick touches and honed my capacity to play a fast-paced game.”

Families also play an important role in the scene, and many parents stay to watch and provide support. As one parent said: “For my daughter to spend time with a high-level coach who can be said to love the sport and wants to see every child become the best they can be is the most important thing to me”.

On Tuesday, Beach Hangar played host to six fields of athletes. These sessions focus on developing skills that translate from beach play to indoors, with athletes participating in everything from long rallies to competitive matches on the queen’s court. Combined with a lively environment, participants leave with valuable tools to improve their indoor performance.

The clinic concluded Thursday at Conestoga College, where athletes were challenged with fast-paced drills that emphasized offensive play outside the system and play in the back row. The intensity of these sessions pushes athletes to their limits while strengthening key technical and tactical skills. One athlete shared: “The training was great. The explanations were great. Lots of input from the coach during training.”

Overall, the March Break Fundraising clinic was a huge success, bringing together athletes, coaches and families to support development and community. We would like to thank all the athletes and families who supported this fundraising effort and came to this session!

Special shout out to our Team Ontario coaches who donated their time to coach at this fundraising clinic: Stephen Goar, Tyrone Bernardo, Tammy Dibbits, Sean Kohler, Bart Nagel, Bradley Molnar, Alix Christie, Ken Gadsdon, Samantha Loos, Nancy Dool-Kontio, Kyle Johnston, Jonathan Loos, Jacob Wnkler, Megan Kalbflesich, Izzy Melchiorre.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
